Where it is from: Cold pressed from the shea nut, which in the case of our product, is grown in Ghana, Africa
How it works: Shea butter is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. It is incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin and is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
Precautions: The Shea nut is distantly related to the Brazil nut, so it should be avoided if the user is allergic to nuts.
