We all know less plastic is better for our earth, but making the switch from bottled shampoo and conditioner, to bar, can feel like quite the daunting task! Bars are great to travel with, use less plastic and are more cost efficient. We are here to share some tips to make the change easier on you, and your hair.

Our Shampoo Bar can be heavy to use on finer hair, as our cold-processed soap is full of natural oils and butters, like shea, coconut and cocoa. This can mean you may need less product, or doing some testing to find the correct product for your specific hair type.

Our Conditioner Bar was designed to be highly concentrated, which means it lasts long enough for 3 months, but it may take some finessing to get used to. Usually adding more water to the conditioning process does the trick. Make sure your hair is completely soaked after washing, adding lots of water as you apply the bar. If there isn’t enough water, there will be far too much product in your hair and it can leave a residue that can be difficult to rinse out.

Finally, with any new product, it may take some time to get used to how often you need to wash, the correct amount of product, and which styling products work well with the new routine. Be patient and keep trying, our earth will thank you!
